Panda Fest 2025: A Vibrant Celebration of Asian Culture & Cuisine in Hartford
Hartford is about to get a whole lot tastier this September. On the weekend of September 27 and 28, Panda Fest will bring one of the country’s largest Asian food and cultural festivals to Mortensen Riverfront Plaza. From authentic street food and colorful performances to panda-themed gifts and family-friendly fun, this event is set to become one of the most exciting things to do in Connecticut this fall.
Visitors can look forward to exploring more than 55 vendors serving over 100 authentic Asian street food items. Imagine biting into sesame pancakes, tanghulu candied fruit skewers, savory squid skewers, or sipping on a refreshing matcha smoothie while watching live cultural performances. The entertainment lineup features everything from K pop and Thai dance routines to Chinese acrobatics and traditional music, making sure there’s something for everyone.
In addition to food and performances, Panda Fest will also feature unique shopping opportunities. More than 10 merchandise vendors will be on site with specialty crafts, calligraphy, artisan goods, and plenty of panda-inspired keepsakes. A giant 15 foot inflatable panda will set the stage for Instagram-worthy photos and playful moments.
Tickets come with fun perks too. General admission includes a Connecticut-inspired panda pin and a stylish hand fan, while VIP passes add an extra tote bag and fast pass entry to make the day even smoother. Early bird pricing is available through August 24, making it the perfect time to grab tickets and plan ahead.
Families will appreciate that kids under six get in free and even receive a panda headband. The event is pet friendly as well, welcoming dogs with short leashes and up to date vaccinations.
Bringing Panda Fest to Hartford is more than just a weekend of delicious food and entertainment. It represents a cultural milestone, highlighting the diversity of Connecticut while strengthening the community’s reputation as a destination where people come together to celebrate. Whether you are a foodie, a family looking for an outing, or simply someone who loves exploring new cultures, Panda Fest is a can’t miss event this fall.
